About
The person behind the practice

Hello, I'm delighted you're here
I'm Fiona, I'm 23, and I recently graduated with an Honours Degree in Interior Architecture & Design. I've had a love for design for as long as I can remember and creating beautiful, functional spaces has always come naturally to me.
While working in the furniture store I'm in now, I noticed something interesting: people know what they like, but they often don't trust their own eye. Every day I'd hear questions about colours, sizes and whether things actually worked together.
That's when the idea for Interior Designer In Your Pocket began.
Not everyone needs or wants a full-service, expensive interior designer. Most people just want quick, honest, professional advice from someone who understands design and can answer them in real time.
So I created a service where you can message me anytime with your design dilemmas, whether it's paint colours, furniture choices, layouts or renter-friendly solutions. Send me a photo and I'll reply within a 3–5 hour timeframe during the day with clear, confident guidance.
I'm here to make design simple, affordable and stress-free.
Welcome to Interior Designer In Your Pocket.
Your space, designed confidently.
Philosophy
Design should serve the way you live
I don't believe in imposing trends or rigid rules. Good design emerges from understanding how you use your space, what brings you comfort, and what makes you feel at home. My role is to guide, not dictate.
Honesty
I'll tell you if something won't work. I'd rather save you from an expensive mistake than offer empty validation.
Patience
Good design takes time. There's no rush. I'm here for every question, no matter how many times you change your mind.
Warmth
This isn't about creating show homes. It's about making spaces that feel genuinely, comfortably yours.
Background
Education & Experience
I studied Interior Architecture and Design at ATU Sligo, where I developed a strong understanding of space planning, materials, colour, and how interiors function in real life. Since graduating, I’ve been working as a furniture sales consultant, which has given me invaluable, hands-on experience helping people make design decisions every day. Working directly with customers has taught me how people actually live in their spaces, what they struggle with when choosing furniture or finishes, and how to offer practical, realistic advice that works for their budget and lifestyle.
"A home should feel like an exhale. A place where everything simply works, where you can relax without wondering if something's wrong."
Let's work together
I look forward to learning about your space and helping you create a home that truly feels like you.
